Jessica integrates different modalities into her therapy sessions including EMDR, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Meditation, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Gottman, and other evidence- based approaches, creating individualized treatment plans and goals with each client in a nurturing, non-judgmental environment.
Jessica attended Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology program where she received her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy. She completed her training at Counseling Partners of Los Angeles (CPLA) where she worked with teens and families at an elementary and middle school in South Los Angeles. This work further reinforced her belief in working with adults, parents, teens, couples, and the entire family system to create systemic change.
JESSICA IS PASSIONATE ABOUT WORKING WITH FAMILIES, TEENS, COUPLES, AND ADULTS.
Upon graduation, Jessica traveled to Quito, Ecuador where she served as teacher and student-body liaison at a middle and high school. Jessica served as the main support system for the students and families and it was here that she learned the value and power of working with the entire family system and community including parents, faculty, and students, to promote the well-being of the families and communities.
Jessica is passionate about working with families, teens, couples, and adults and strongly believes that long-term progress comes from integrating the whole family system in the therapeutic process. She is particularly passionate about helping adolescents and adults navigate the uncertainty of emerging adulthood.
Jessica utilizes EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Therapy training and has experience working through a multicultural lens. She brings Mindfulness techniques into the therapy experience in combination with individualized, integrative treatment plans.
Jessica is a big proponent of self-care and loves all outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, and camping. In her free time, she reads, journals, and takes pictures. Contact us to learn more or schedule a session.
