Kalie's approach blends therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and mindfulness practices, with an attachment/emotionally-focused lens. She believes in the crucial connection between the mind and the body, assisting clients in identifying what's manifesting in their bodies. This approach helps clients label their experiences and develop skills for self-soothing and nervous system regulation.

Kalie specializes in helping adults, couples, and teens identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. She empowers clients and helps them explore and challenge their core values and schemas, increasing self-awareness, and dismantling unhelpful narratives. She helps clients leverage their personal strengths and resources to move forward in life in alignment with their values.

Kalie draws from Attachment Theory, which focuses on how early relationships influence later-life connections. She helps clients make sense of their emotional experiences, relationship patterns, and the impact of societal, familial, and cultural narratives on their well-being.

Kalie specializes in aiding clients with identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.

Utilizing a CBT lens, Kalie assists clients in processing and challenging OCD and phobias, along with teaching somatic awareness and nervous system regulation techniques to cope with anxiety and fear. She recognizes the pivotal role of the body-mind connection in her practice, often involving body-focused strategies to soothe and regulate the nervous system.

Kalie identifies as sex-positive and LGBTQA+ allied. She has particular interest in working with individuals employed in the entertainment industry. She provides a safe and non-judgmental space for addressing topics of shame, body-image issues, and PTSD.

Kalie's personal approach is marked by her energetic, kind, welcoming, and curious nature. She creates a warm space for clients to authentically express themselves, promoting awareness and deconstructing negative narratives. Kalie incorporates humor and self-disclosure to foster open and comfortable interactions, emphasizing the human-to-human connection. Collaboratively, she helps clients reshape their relationship with their inner dialogue, make valuable connections, and enhance coping skills to empower their most authentic selves.

Kalie's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Florida and a Masters in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology.

Prior to her graduate training, Kalie gained experience in outpatient treatment settings, working with individuals living with OCD, Tourette syndrome, and anxiety disorders. She also served as the primary clinical research coordinator for the University of South Florida’s Rothman Center for Pediatric Neuropsychiatry, where she facilitated clinical trials evaluating the safety, efficacy, and potential side effects of medications intended to treat symptoms of Tourette syndrome, ADHD, and ASD.

Since completing her graduate training, Kalie's clinical practice has included working with adults, couples, and children experiencing moderate anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, low self-esteem, panic, phobias, trauma, grief, relationship/family discord, and life transitions.

Kalie is passionate about providing a warm, compassionate, trauma-informed, and relational space for clients to explore feelings, gain a deeper understanding of their lived experiences, and move toward the life they envision. Outside of her work, Kalie values creativity, self-expression, and stepping out of her comfort zone. She approaches life with gratitude and engages in activities such as exploring new places, rollerblading, dancing, journaling, and laughter.

“Kalie seems unflappable and is incredibly responsive to our different personalities as individuals and to our stated needs as a couple. She is helping us have conversations that we didn’t necessarily show up with the skills to have on our own, and without steering for us or spoonfeeding. She’s professional, kind, and I can tell that she is listening to us when we tell her things. It means a lot to me and to my partner. The stuff we bring into therapy is so personal and she makes it easy to choose to engage in conversations that feel really vulnerable.”
